Three Days Grace have reunited with their original singer Adam Gontier, who left the band in 2013. The band revealed the news on Thursday (October 3) after teasing it earlier this week.

The Canadian post-grunge band's current singer Matt Walst will also stay in the band, with the duo sharing vocal duties. The band teased the reunion on social media by posting a voicemail message from Gontier to Walst saying “be at the studio soon, if you can just let everybody know.”

Three Days Grace is also working on a new album and planning a tour. They shared the exciting news on social media, noting that Gontier performed with them at a show last year. "After performing together in Nashville around this time last year and spending time in the studio since, we’re excited to announce the official return of Adam Gontier to vocals in Three Days Grace, with Matt Walst remaining as a lead vocalist, as well," reads a message on Instagram. "More details about new music and touring plans on the way…"

Both singers shared their feelings in a joint statement, too. “I feel like it’s been seamless, better than we were expecting,” Gontier said of his reunion with the band. “It’s like we got back in a room together and picked up where we left off. We have been friends for so long it’s kind of natural to get back in the room together.”

“It’s been so much fun and inspiring making this record. Combining over 20 years of Three Days Grace and doing something that no band has ever done," Walst added. "I’m excited for the fans to hear it!"
