At the beginning of 2025, Shinedown shared not one, but two new songs with fans — and it's only the beginning as the band prepares to release their followup to 2022's Planet Zero and head out on the road on their "Dance, Kid, Dance Tour."

In "Three Six Five," which the band shared at the top of this year, they sing about wanting to turn back the clock. Speaking to iHeartRadio, they shared of the track, "We really dive into the emotions surrounding the people and the memories that mean the most to us. It's about that longing for just one more day, one more minute with someone we've lost. I think everyone can relate to that feeling of wanting to turn back time to hold onto those moments that slip away much too quickly. The lyrics also carry this hopeful message that time isn't necessarily guaranteed. So we need to take chances and embrace life as it comes. It's a reminder not to sweat the small stuff and to focus on what truly matters, which is our connection with others. We wrote it with the idea that while we might not always be able to keep those we love close, we can still carry their memory with us always. It's a heartfelt anthem, in our opinion, about love, loss and the resilience to keep moving forward while cherishing what we've experienced."

"Three Six Five" and their other new song, "Dance, Kid, Dance" will appear on the band's forthcoming, yet-to-be-announced eighth full-length studio album. The band shared of how fans are set up to hear the rest of the record via their latest releases, "These two songs are a good introduction into what we've been working on for the last really year with this next record, it being our eighth studio album. The last two records have been conceptual pieces. So this record is a traditional album in the sense of all the songs are different. They're not related to one another like in a concept record. But we did a lot of exploration on this record, a lot of experimentation, just a lot of style, really not having any boundaries whatsoever. As far as the music is concerned, it's all over the map. There's not one specific style to the album, which I think is a good thing when you are trying to tap into different influences, and where you are in, not only your life, but in your career. And it's a record that we felt like we were ready to make."

Shinedown added of their new album, "We've been working on this record for over a year now. We've got it almost ready to go."

Fans can catch Shinedown on their "Dance, Kid, Dance Tour," which kicks off on April 25th in Des Moines, Iowa and takes the band across the country, stopping in cities including Omaha, New Orleans, Nashville, Boston, New York City, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Phoenix, Seattle, Denver and more, before wrapping up on August 30th in Memphis, Tennessee. The 30+ city trek will feature special guest Beartooth on the spring dates and legendary band BUSH on the summer dates with Morgan Wade opening all shows.

The band said of their upcoming cross-country trek, "What we're looking forward to is seeing the audience and seeing the fans, and just playing the new music for everybody. But a lot of these buildings that we're playing on this particular tour, we've never played them before, especially as a headliner, so that's extremely exciting for us. The stage show that we've built, we've spent a lot of time on it. We really wanted to make sure, because this show was in all arenas, we developed it and designed it for that. There's multiple stages, so that's going to be super fun for the audience. There's not a bad seat in the house. That was the objective when we started to build the design. And then also just being able to play with Bush and Beartooth, and having Morgan Wade on both legs of the tour is going to be super exciting. We're just big fans of those artists. It's going to be awesome."
